Very impressive Chateau de Cas

(dating back to the 13th century, the Chateau is 2kms away & open to the public to view the 14 furnished rooms, a dungeon and a 10th century chapel). Well worth a visit (photo from the house left)

 

Just 4 kms from Caylus and 5 kms from St Antonin Noble Val (with its wonderful Sunday morning market), the location gives you easy access to both. So lots to see (medieval towns & villages, local markets) & sporting activities on the doorstep (kayaking, horse riding, Tree wire, VTT bike hire, etc), together with a good selection of bars & restaurants.

The house offers light, bright spacious rooms throughout - simple design and furnishings, with a warm family feel.

There is a turn-around gravelled entrance drive (lower level) which has off-road, secure parking for 2 or 3 cars. (There are no social rooms on this level). The main entrance to the house (& pool) are on a level above, and can accessed by car to unload etc. via a private side lane.

 

MAIN FLOOR (UPPER LEVEL)

The main entrance hall leads to all rooms on this floor (room sizes are approximate).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

LOUNGE (5m x 5m) : Open fireplace and comfortable seating for 6 - with views to the Chateau above.

Flat screen TV (45" - 50") with English free to view channels.

A lovely, bright & homely country-style kitchen,

fully equipped with Butler sink, Aga style cooker (5 gas rings, large gas oven), Dishwasher & Washing machine, Microwave, Toaster, Upright fridge/freezer. Lovely old wooden kitchen table (can comfortably seat 8) for family dining.

The house has its own unique features which include a rather steep staircase to the upper floor (with an uneven step at the top), so care must be taken with young children.

WIFI : the internet reception & some mobile networks in certain parts of the house can be temperamental, particularly in stormy weather.

PRIVATE POOL (7m x 4m) : set on the level below, with roman steps and a constant depth of 1.5m (ideal for pool volleyball & other games).

LARGE COVERED TERRACE with dining table & chairs for 8 - a lovely setting, looking directly over the pool (& with easy access to the kitchen). Charcoal BBQ
