A rural location yet with the nearest supermarket, bank, bars, restaurants, café at MONTCLAR DE QUERCY (just 5 kms away), 10 mins drive from the village of SALVAGNAC, 5 kms from PUYCELCI and 30 min drive from ST. SULPICE or GAILLAC (the wine growing region). Main towns of MONTAUBAN or GAILLAC are 25kms away - as is ST ANTONIN NOBLE VAL - for the famous Sunday morning market or for kayaking adventures.

THE GARDENS

 

Set in very private gardens (almost 6000m2 / 1.75 acres, partially fenced) : Lawned areas plus woodland, mature trees and shrubs giving plenty of shade. There is a small pond at the bottom of the garden, normally dry late Spring - Autumn, and another at the far side, inaccessible due to thick undergrowth and brambles.

The gardens are visited by various forms of wildlife : doves, pheasants, woodpeckers, nightingales, hedgehogs and deer.

 

 

 

 

Access at the bottom of the garden to farmland and you are free to walk the neighboring countryside right from the doorstep. The woods opposite belong to the commune and are open to visitors.

 

 

NB : Care must be taken when walking through farmland, do not disturb the crops and if there are livestock present, be especially careful if they have young. You MUST have dogs on a lead at all times, otherwise you can be fined.

 

 

 

 

FOR YOUNG CHILDREN : There is a set of swings with a slide, lawned areas for children's games, plus 'secret paths' for youngsters.

 

SURROUNDINGS

Walking distance to the village of St. Urcisse (15 mins along the country road - Hi-vis jackets are recommended for safety reasons). Here you will find :

RESTAURANT 'LA CHENERIE' - although not an extensive menu, they have received very good reviews on food quality. All freshly cooked, local produce with a different menu featured every day (price 13€- 40€ main menus or you can take from their Tapas & drinks menu).

You are also only 5 kms drive away from MONCLAR DE QUERCY with the best wood oven bakery in the region, petrol station, Carrefour supermarket, Chemist, Bank, & Post Office.
