The villa is located just on the fringe of the medieval town of ST ANTONIN NOBLE VAL (0.1 kms to the nearest minimarket / 0.2 kms to town), where you will find numerous bars, restaurants, a bank, 2 supermarkets, boulangeries, PO, petrol station, boutiques with locally handcrafted items, cinema, and an abundance of local architecture, together a good variety of sporting activities.

 

Enjoy all the benefits of being so close to town and yet have peace & privacy. You can stroll directly into town - So you have everything on the doorstep ! (To enjoy the rooftop views, there is rather a steep incline down on a minor road from the house to the town - (0.2 kms).

A large family-friendly house, with gardens of 1.2 acres and south facing SALT POOL - HEATED*. Approached through electrically operated gates, you have secure parking for up to 3 cars.

LOUNGE (9m x 6m) : Very Comfortable & airy (with high ceilings), seating for all & 2 sets of french doors onto the front terrace - a perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the views or to watch the sunset with an evening appero!

Flat TV screen with satellite (free to view) English channels. (There is also independant TV in some of the bedrooms). A STUDY on the Mezzanine floor above.

GARDENS

Mature gardens of 1.25 acres in all - mostly laid to trees, shrubs and flowers on the main social areas. The rest is a grass incline (a huge space where clearly the football team kicking downhill have the advantage !)

Endless, fabulous views from the front of the property overlooking St. Anonin to the dramatic gorges & Aveyron valley beyond. The gardens are extremely private & peaceful, and full of colour at different times of the year.

There are EXTERNAL DINING TERRACES on each level.

NB : There is a POND with waterfall feature & fish. This will be covered with a grill but care must be taken with small children.

We have stayed in St Antonin Noble Val for several years and love the town. It is perfect for walking, cycling and generally relaxing whatever way you choose.

This year we decided to rent St Bernards and invite family and friends. There is plenty of space to lose each other too.

The view is amazing overlooking the town and mountains, it was so perfectly relaxing to eat and chill outside in the evenings that we hardly ate out this time. The weather was unexpectedly hot for June at 38!! Thankfully Jayne organised a couple more parasols and we survived and Peter was most helpful too. The pool was a must and much appreciated,

This is the second year that we have stayed in St Bernard and everything was perfect. The weather was fine, our family joined us from the UK for some of the time and everyone had a really great time. The children particularly enjoyed the pool and the games room on the lower floor. Everything (and more) that one could want in a holiday let was provided - umbrellas, inflatable toys and lilos for the pool, plenty of sunbeds and patio furniture, a BBQ, a large selection of books and DVDs, even shopping bags and plastic macs, etc., etc. The extensive well kept garden and grounds were a bonus too. All of the rooms were clean, well equipped and finished to a very high standard. The location is ideal being very close to the town although it is a short but fairly steep hill up to the property. Nevertheless, the elevated position gives wonderful views from the rear patio out across the town. Dealing with the agent and the owner (via the agent) was trouble free, friendly and efficient. St Antonin itself is a great little town and there are many interesting places to visit in the area. The town itself has many excellent restaurants to choose from and there is a very good selection of shops. The Sunday market is not to be missed for its hustle and bustle and vast array of local produce and handicrafts. However, if you have a car, parking can be a real problem on market day as the market occupies many of the normal car parking areas. Not a problem if you are staying in St Bernards though as there is plenty of secure parking for several cars at the property and it is only two hundred yards or so to the town. In short, we have been coming to France every year for many years now and this is by far the best holiday rental that we have had and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Barry

 

 

 

AVAILABILITY AND PRICES

IMPORTANT NOTE : This is the owners' residence for much of the year & is furnished & equipped to a high level of comfort, over & above normal rental properties. We are therefore cautious of larger group sizes and the consequent possible damage to the property.

The MAX GROUP SIZE has therefore been set at 8 and this must not be exceeded.

Your guardian is on hand and will visit you during your stay.
